Microsoft has launched Bing Chat Enterprise, an AI-powered chatbot for businesses with enhanced data privacy controls. It ensures that chat data is not saved, Microsoft cannot access customer data, and data is not used to train AI models. The enterprise version offers similar functionality to Bing Chat, including text and visual responses. It also introduces Visual Search, allowing users to search for content related to uploaded images. Bing Chat Enterprise is available in preview and will be free for certain Microsoft 365 subscribers, with a standalone option costing $5 per user per month in the future.

Meta has introduced Llama 2, an improved family of AI models for chatbot applications. Llama 2 offers better performance, is freely available for research and commercial use, and can be fine-tuned on various platforms. It comes in two versions, with different sizes, and was trained on a larger dataset. While Llama 2 slightly lags behind competitors like GPT-4, human evaluators find it as helpful as ChatGPT. Training data sources are undisclosed. Link to Meta Llama 2.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk plans to develop an AI model called "TruthGPT" as an alternative to Microsoft-backed ChatGPT. Musk criticized ChatGPT for being controlled by Microsoft and accused it of training AI to lie. TruthGPT would compete with ChatGPT and Google's Bard. Critics claim ChatGPT has a political bias, and Microsoft's GPT-4 has faced criticism for lacking emotional intelligence and accuracy. Italy banned ChatGPT temporarily over data privacy concerns. Musk called for a global AI industry body to propose regulations and ethical guidelines.
According to this article, OpenAI's chatbot ChatGPT achieved an impressive milestone by reaching 100 million monthly active users in just three months, surpassing the growth rates of popular apps like TikTok and Instagram. It currently has 123 million monthly unique visitors, with 266 million total users since its November launch. The United States has the largest user base, and the top audience interests include developer software, electronics, technology, and news. Direct traffic is the primary source, driving 64.3% of visits. OpenAI has introduced a paid version, ChatGPT Plus, offering faster responses and priority access for $20 per month.

🗞️ WORK
According to Emad Mostaque, the CEO of Stability AI, the employment prospects for coders in India are likely to be adversely affected by the advancements in AI technology. He stated that the increasing capabilities of AI allow software development to be accomplished with significantly fewer individuals, leading to a potential loss of jobs for most Indian coders. However, Mostaque acknowledged that the impact of generative AI on technical positions will vary across different countries. He highlighted that programmers in France, for instance, are expected to have more safeguards and job security compared to their counterparts in India.
Mostaque emphasized that in the Indian coding industry, outsourced coders, including those up to level three programmers, are likely to face job displacement within the next one or two years. On the other hand, he contrasted this situation with France, where developers are unlikely to face the risk of being terminated from their positions.
This article discusses the shift in usage and popularity of social media platforms among Gen Z, particularly the declining interest in Twitter and the increasing preference for LinkedIn. It highlights several reasons for this shift, including Twitter's perceived toxic and politically charged environment, the recent acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk, and Gen Z's desire for stability and authenticity. The article notes that Gen Z users are turning to LinkedIn as a more positive and productive platform for professional guidance, networking, and personal branding. LinkedIn's emphasis on brand trust, safety, and professionalism, as well as its authentic and inclusive community, have contributed to its growing popularity among Gen Z. The article concludes that Twitter needs to address its issues and adapt quickly to retain its younger users, as LinkedIn appears to be the preferred choice for the next generation of professionals.
